I’ve been pondering the idea of changing up my blog. I started this blog based on my HCG journey. Of course, the weight loss journey is ongoing. It will never end. I have to work at keeping the weight off permanently. But, along with weight issues comes real life! A lot of my weight issues were caused by things that have happened in my life… good or bad. One of the reasons why I neglected this blog for so long is due to the unforeseen circumstances of my life. I’m still thinking about it, but I’m pretty sure that I’m going to expand this blog into include my thoughts and crazy journey of my nutty life. Obviously, a person’s weight loss/gain issues have a lot to do with what’s going on in their life. I am more than just my weight. I am a person. You may see some blog changes soon!
Well, I’ve neglected my blog. It’s very sad, really! If you have followed me on YouTube, my last video update was back at the end of February. Life for me has been one crazy mess this year. I don’t want to abandon you. My weight has been up (about 15 lbs), which is stressful, but stress has caused it! What a mess… stress causing weight gain and weight gain adding more stress! Oh, the circle of life! Anyway, I’m still out here. I’m trying to make extra money right now. I’m extremely broke. We’ll see what happens. I’ll try to check back with you soon! My site still needs some updates! There are several links that are severely outdated. Oh, how sad! Talk to you soon!
Okay, so it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. My bad! I’ve been a busy person over the winter. Here’s a recap of what’s happened since then.
I started round 3… twice! The first time, I failed. I couldn’t stay focused at all. The second time, I lasted about 18 days and lost 12.8 lbs. I was able to make it to the 140′s, and my final weight was 145.8. However, that did not last very long.
After taking a 6 week break and coming back from a trip, I managed to gain 12 of the 12.8 lbs back. ugh!! I started round 4 on Monday, February 28th, and today is VLCD 5 for me. The first two days, I managed to drop 4.4 lbs (2.2 lbs per day) . I am up 1 lb over the past two days, and it’s because I decided to eat some birthday cake. Bad me!
I’ve done well today and eaten very clean. I think I can do this! I would really like to drop into the 130′s on this round. I’m not sure if that will happen or not. All I can say is… STAY TUNED!
I have finished round 2, and I put together a video log of my before and after pics since the beginning of my HCG journey in May, 2010. After two rounds of HCG, I have lost a total of 49 lbs! I have gone from a size 16/18 to a size 8! My next round will start over Thanksgiving weekend. I hope you enjoy the video.
HCG has been a true Godsend for me. I thank the Lord every day for helping me discover HCG. It really does work!
My mini load results. It worked. I gained 1/2 pound and lost 1 lb the next day!
Here’s what I ate:
Breakfast: 4 eggs + 4 bacon
Lunch: 200 grams of sirloin steak
Snack: Mug Cake (recipe below)
Dinner: Two McDonald’s double cheeseburgers (NO BUN)
Snack: Mug Cake
Total Calories: 2780 (134 grams of protein, 220.5 grams of fat, 10 grams of carb)
Approximately 20% protein, 72% fat, 2% carbs
Mug Cake Recipe:
2 Tbl. almond flour
1/2 Tbl. cocoa
1/2 Tbl. dark cocoa
1-1/2 Tbl. xylitol
3 Tbl. heavy cream
1 Tbl. butter (or coconut oil) (I didn’t even melt my butter. I cut it up into small cubes)
Splash of vanilla flavoring (I used 2 packets of Splenda for coffee vanilla flavor)
Combine flour, cocoa, and xylitol in mug. Add egg and blend thoroughly. Add cream, butter (or oil), and vanilla flavoring. Mix well. Cook in 1000 watt microwave for 90 seconds. Do not cover. Cake will rise. Let cool.
You can either place on a plate or eat directly from the mug. I added 1/4 cup of whipped cream (whipped with sweetener) and ate it directly from the mug. YUM!
I’m still recovering from my tennis tournament last weekend. I’ve switched back to homeopathic as of yesterday, and I’m doing a mini load day today to jump start my weight loss for the rest of this round.
