Let's Learn How To Make Paper Mache Bowls:

You will need:
Vaseline or liquid soap
Old newspaper
A bowl to use as the base
Wallpaper paste or Elmer's glue (thinned with water)
Gesso (paint)

Directions:
Tear several sheets of newspaper into strips and set aside.
Apply a thin coat of vaseline or liquid soap to the entire bowl before applying strips to the bowl.
Dip strips of newspaper into bowl of wallpaper paste or diluted glue. Apply strips in the same direction for the first layer.
Continue to dip strips into paste mixture. Layer strips in the opposite direction until desired thickness is reached.
Allow bowl to dry.
Once bowl is dry, remove the bowl from the paper mache.
Sand and paint your paper mache bowl as desired.
