Nice blurry pic. lol. I was in a hurry. Does this look familiar? Yep. I had the same thing yesterday. I had to make a shopping trip to the grocery store, so this is what I ate before I left. It was still good. Sometimes I eat the same thing just for the sake of convenience.

I had my yummy chocolate cottage cheesecake once again. I will post a recipe soon. It’s getting a little better each time. I ate my cheesecake with oranges and a few pieces of melba toast. yum!

Well, it looks like the scale is slowly starting to move again. We’ll see if it continues. I am very happy that I lost anything! My average is holding up at .58 per day (still above average for a woman)!

I did not use any coconut oil today. I don’t like to do it every day. The chocolate bark is so addicting. I don’t want to get into the habit of eating it on a daily basis.

I had a wonderful lunch which consisted of a grilled hamburger, grilled onions, an apple, and melba rounds. Yum!

This was my dinner, while the rest of my family ate Taco Bell. The tacos smelled so good, but I’m on a roll. There’s no stopping me right now! I love that I can fight those urges. It really doesn’t bother me! I would like to continue this round until I’m at the point of stalling or the hunger kicks in. So far so good. I haven’t been hungry, I have no desire for other food, and I’m still losing at a decent pace.

I woke up this morning and stepped on the scale. I got a nice little surprise. I was not expecting to see such a huge loss. I wasn’t even sure if I would lose anything today since I played tennis last night! It was very exciting. I started out my day with my usual coffee and splenda.

For lunch, I ate 100 grams of sirloin tip steak, 1/2 of an onion that was grilled on my George Foreman grill, and a breadstick.

I can’t seem to get enough steak lately. I love steak when it’s cooked just right. I decided to put it on my salad tonight. I had 100 grams of sirloin over iceberg lettuce with 2 Tablespoons of Wishbone Fat-Free Italian Dressing (15 calories), fat-free croutons (25 calories), and a baked apple covered with cinnamon and truvia.

Lunch:

100 grams of sirloin tip steak (140 calories)

159 grams – 1/2 onion (64 calories)

1 sesame breadstick (23 calories)

Lunch Total: 227 calories

Dinner:

100 grams of sirloin tip steak (140 calories)

126 grams – whole apple (66 calories)

150 grams iceberg lettuce (27 calories)

2 Tbl Wishbone Fat-Free Italian Dressing (15 calories) (*not on protocol- see note below)

7 grams Rothbury Farms Fat-Free croutons (25 calories)(*not on protocol- see note below)

Dinner Total: 273 calories

*Just a quick note: The salad dressing and croutons are not on protocol; however, I do add the proper calories. The potential problem that I see with the salad dressing is that it contains a small amount of sugars (2 grams) per serving. I have used it on this diet, and I haven’t had a problem with it. I don’t use it very often, though. If you try this dressing and find yourself stalling or gaining, then don’t use it.

The croutons have the same potential to be a problem. However, they are only 25 calories for one serving, which equals 7 grams(approximately 20 croutons). There is also a small amount of sugar in this item, but the amount per serving equals zero. Try at your own discretion.

I had my first regular diet drink yesterday. It was a Diet Pepsi. It looks like the drink didn’t effect my weight loss at all. Once again, I DO NOT include my coffee or other drinks in the amount of water that I drink per day. I think it would be too easy to drink everything but water if I did that!

I think I have settled in at 15 drops twice daily. It seems to be working well for me, and I have not been hungry at all. My cravings are completely gone! I can smell food and like the smell of it, but it doesn’t bother me to see someone eating it. I am feeling really good. I get sleepy at night a lot earlier than ever before. I used to keep going until 2 or 3 am at times. My average sleep time was 2 am before starting this diet. Now, I start to feel tired around 11 pm. I am in bed and asleep by 1 am which is great for me!

For now, I have decided to stick with Splenda in my coffee. I drink 2-3 large cups, and it’s just not cost effective for me to use the Truvia. I will use it for other things, though. It’s a good tasting sweetener.

My lunch today was so good! I just love my handy dandy George Foreman grill! I had 100 grams of sirloin tip steak with 1/2 of an onion and a breadstick. Yummy! I drank another Diet Pepsi with my lunch today, too.

This evening, I made hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill for my family and guests. For MY dinner, I had a charcoal grilled hamburger made with 100 grams of 96% lean ground beef. I wrapped it in two large iceberg lettuce leaves and added a few teaspoons of sugar-free zero calorie mustard. I loved the crunchiness of the lettuce leaves. It made me feel like I was eating a hamburger with a crunch! I DID eat a breadstick. You can’t see it in the picture because it’s hidden behind the lettuce! I ate an apple for my dessert. It was delicious and filling as usual!

Here is the breakdown for the day-

Lunch:

100 grams of sirloin tip steak (140 calories)

182 grams – 1/2 onion (73 calories)

1 sesame breadstick (23 calories)

Lunch Total: 236 calories

Dinner:

100 grams of 96% lean ground beef (130 calories)

Weigh Everything!

I have always weighed my proteins, but I didn’t realize until 2 weeks into this diet that I was overeating some of my vegetables and fruits. I was picking out small apples and orange to eat. However, they were a lot heavier than I had anticipated. The other big calorie foods for me were onions and tomatoes.

When I started weighing my foods, I found that I could really only eat 1/2 of a tomato or onion for one meal. Most of the time, this would apply to my oranges and apples as well.

By weighing all of my fruits and veggies, I am able to have all 4 foods and stay within 500 calories per day: protein, veggie, fruit, and breadstick.

I’m not really upset that I didn’t lose any weight. It’s probably going to be a struggle to lose on the days after I have played tennis.

I did something a little different with my eggs this time. I added up the protein, and I was getting less protein than my carbs, so I decided to add 2 more egg whites (32 calories total) and drop my melba toast. I would rather have a better protein:carb ratio. I still fell within the 500 calorie range, although many people would say that I was off protocol by doing this. I need the protein! We’ll see what happens on the scale tomorrow!

Once again, I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised. I ate a bit more protein to compensate for tennis, and then I played for 3-1/2 hours. Oh well. It’s only 1/2 pound, right?

D- 3.5 oz. ckn breast, baked kale chips, 1/2 onion, orange w/ 1 tbl. coconut oil, 2 tbl. cocoa and 4 tbl. splenda mixed with water (tasted like a chocolate covered orange!)

I took 3 potassium and 3 magnesium pills today. Every now and then I have muscle twiching and fatigue.

I played tennis again tonight. This is why I upped my protein. I want to make sure that I had enough energy. I had a heard workout for an hour, and I played a total of 3-1/2 hours.

I guess I got really lucky. I don’t know what happened or how I could have possibly lost 2.2 pounds in one day.  Oh well… moving on…

L- I had a lunch meeting, so I tried to be as “good” as possible. I ordered a chef’s salad w/ grilled chicken and fat free raspberry dressing on the side. I set aside the croutons and anything else not truly allowed. I did eat the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, grilled chicken, and a small amount of fat free raspberry dressing. It probably had sugar in it, but I couldn’t eat that salad dry. When I came home, I ate 6 strawberries and mixed 2 tbl. of coconut oil mixed with cocoa and splenda.

D- 3.5 oz. ribeye, tomatoes and onion. (I used my tomato as my fruit- this isn’t really from the original protocol, though).

Water for the day= 2-1/2 liters

I played tennis tonight (doubles).

Okay, once again, I have gained weight for the second day. This is not looking too good for me. Why bother complaining about it when I’m not following the protocol to the letter? It’s my own fault. I shouldn’t be mixing my veggies. I shouldn’t be eating crackers that aren’t on protocol, and I shouldn’t be eating that salad dressing, either.
