Dough Recipe for Salt and Cornstarch Clay

Ingredients:
2 cups salt
2/3 cups water
1 cup cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup cold water

Directions:
In a saucepan, mix together salt and 2/3 c. water. Over medium heat, stirring constantly, simmer until mixture is heated through (about 4 minutes).
Remove pan from heat, and add cornstarch mixture and mix well. Consistency of dough will be thick and stiff.

NOTE: Adding a tablespoon of powdered alum prevents homemade dough from becoming moldy.
